What do you love about LSA?
I adore LSA for numerous reasons, the foremost being its supportive community. This environment fosters collaboration, empathy, and a sense of belonging among staff and students, creating a warm and inclusive atmosphere.
Additionally, as an educator at LSA, I appreciate the innovative teaching methods inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach. These methods engage and inspire our students and encourage our staff to evolve and explore new ways to facilitate continuous learning.
Moreover, the dedication of the staff at LSA is genuinely commendable. Their commitment to excellence and willingness to go above and beyond to support colleagues and students is evident in everything they do.
LSA also offers ample opportunities for professional growth, empowering me to pursue my passions, develop new skills, and stay updated with the latest educational trends and practices.
However, the most rewarding aspect of being a part of LSA is the positive impact I can make on students’ lives. Knowing that I am helping shape the future generation and making a meaningful difference in their journey toward success fills me with purpose and fulfillment.
A note from Alanna Rae Butler:
Greetings! I'm Alanna Rae Butler, and I relocated to Rowan County from Massachusetts a year ago with my fiancé and our beloved canine companions, Bubba and Bowman. During my time in Massachusetts, I spent five years at a child care center, initially as a preschool teacher, then progressing to their Pre-K and Kindergarten rooms, eventually assuming the role of Center Director for my final two years there.
In my role as Center Director, I gained valuable experience working with children of various ages, ranging from three months to six years old. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in interdisciplinary studies of education with a minor in special education from Fitchburg State University. Currently, I'm pursuing my Master’s Degree in speech pathology..
I'm thrilled about joining LSA and returning to the classroom. Teaching has always been my passion, and I find great joy in discovering different teaching strategies tailored to each child's unique learning abilities. In addition to my teaching and center director certifications, I am also a certified registered behavioral technician, working towards obtaining my BCBA certification..
If you happen to see me around, please don't hesitate to introduce yourself. I'm eager to meet everyone and their little scholars!.
Sincerely,
Alanna Rae Butler
