A note from Catherine:
Hello! I'm Catherine Doberstein and I'm the Owner of Little Scholars Academy! I’m so happy you chose LSA for your child’s early learning experience! A little bit about me, I graduated from the University of Michigan with my Bachelors degree in Children and Family Studies.
After graduation, I moved to NC to escape the cold gloomy weather and start my career. I opened up LSA in 2011 with my Huntersville location. In 2021 I decided to expand to Kannapolis! I’m married to Ryan and we have 2 children, Brock (5yrs) and Anna (3yrs). We live in Charlotte on Lake Wylie and LOVE being outside and on the water! When it is too cold for water actives, we love going mountain biking, hiking, and snowboarding.

The ideal candidate will have an exceptionally warm, nurturing, and patient demeanor, will be fun and energetic, will be familiar with the Reggio Emilia approach to education (or excited to learn), will have the ability and desire to think creatively about ideas and materials, will have the ability to use technology to support curriculum and for communication, will have experience teaching in a classroom, and will have a passion for teaching young children ages 12 months to 5 years!
